1 - Software with a difference,
If we have created Lucca,
it's of course to provide us with a living and to feed our families but
it's also to produce different software. Software that we like and that
we hope that users will like because it makes their lives easier.
2 - Software for users,
When we design our software, we first think of the end user, of the person who will be using our software on his or her screen.
Another way to say it is
that we design our software for the people who are going to use it and
not for the people who are going to buy it.
3 - Simple software.
The accumulation of features
does not guarantee the quality of a software application. We are even
convinced of the opposite point of view.
This way, when we design our
software, we compare the advantages that new functionality brings with
the extra complexity that it might generate. To decide if we will keep
this new functionality, we refer to the previous rule: What is in the
end user's interest?
